The year was 1960. Alicia and Gerry were high school sweethearts. Fast-forward to October 4, 2008. After forty-five years apart, the couple celebrated their wedding overlooking the sights of the city where they first met. Surrounded by close family and friends, Alicia and Gerry transitioned from teenagers in love to husband and wife. After an intimate ceremony, the party continued with a live band, toasting with friends and plenty of dancing. To make the wedding that much more special, this was also the first wedding hosted by the Buckhead Club since moving to their new location in the heart of the city. Jill and Nick were married on August 16th in Roswell, GA. They celebrated their wedding at the Roswell United Methodist Church. Working with photographer Jason Spruill of Weddings by Jason, Jill and Nick posed for some great outdoor shots using the natural surroundings of the church. This first video features preparations prior to the ceremony.

The couple headed to the reception in style in a classic red Jaguar 420. The celebration was held at the Country Club of Roswell complete will a full band to keep the guests on their feet. August is certainly a busy time for weddings in Atlanta, and Lindsey and Jimmy kicked off the month in style at the Windermere Golf Club in Cumming, GA. I arrived early to catch some of Lindsey’s preparations at her home not far from the club. We also took some time to capture the stories of how they met which made for a nice audio overlay in the full DVD. Lindsey and Jimmy were great to work with. I hope that you enjoy watching their highlights video as much as I enjoyed creating it.

I have always enjoyed shooting at Anthony’s Fine Dining on Piedmont in Atlanta. The staff members there are always very professional and the twinkle lights in the Lady Bug room set a great atmosphere for the reception. Dave - owner of Jammin’ DJs - kept the energy of the room alive and put on a great show. Courtney and Brandon celebrated at Anthony’s after their ceremony at the Peachtree Christian Church. Wow - what a photogenic sanctuary! I can see why Peachtree Christian is one of Atlanta’s most popular wedding locations. Courtney and Brandon were very welcoming and made the day a great one to shoot. Enjoy highlights from the pre-ceremony photo session.

This October, some good friends of mine will take to the streets of Atlanta for the Light the Night Walk to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society fighting blood cancers. On September 11, 2008, the team is holding a “Red Balloon Party” fund-raiser at Villa Christina to support their financial goal. The evening will include live entertainment, cocktails and appetizers.
Everyone is welcome to attend and all donations will go towards their goal of raising $10,000 towards blood cancer research. I will be shooting this event and will be sure to post highlights for everyone to check out if you are unable to make it. See below for more details. It should be a great event!

Taryn and Matt’s wedding took place at St. Luke’s Presbyterian Church in Dunwoody. The church allowed the natural light of the day to illuminate their ceremony. Afterwards, guests gathered at the Pavillion at East Cobb in Marietta. The Pavillion set up several unique food stations for the couple including a full dessert station tended to by a gourmet pasty chef. There was great attention to detail with the theme of lavender throughout the room. At the end of the evening, the couple surprised their parents by leaving on Matt’s motorcycle.
